Dermstation Payment Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2025

This Payment Policy explains how payments are accepted and handled for purchases on dermstation.com (“Dermstation,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By checking out, you agree to this Policy as well as our Terms and Privacy Policy.

1) Ways to Pay

  • Credit & debit cards via Stripe (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).

  • Klarna pay-over-time options (subject to Klarna approval).

  • Apple Pay on supported Apple devices.

  • Google Pay on supported devices/browsers.
    Availability can vary by device, location, order risk, and cart value.

2) How Card Payments Work (Stripe)

  • Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS–compliant provider.

  • Card numbers and CVV are sent directly to Stripe; Dermstation does not store full card details.

  • Stripe may require 3D Secure/SCA authentication.

  • We may run AVS/CVV checks and decline or cancel orders that fail verification.

3) When You’re Charged

  • Authorizations occur at checkout; we capture (charge) when your order is confirmed to ship.

  • For partial shipments, we capture only for items that ship.

  • If an authorization fails/expires prior to capture, the order may be paused or canceled until a valid payment is provided.

4) Klarna Pay Over Time

  • Klarna financing and installment plans are separate credit agreements between you and Klarna.

  • Approvals, rates, fees, and schedules are determined by Klarna.

  • For refunds, Klarna will adjust your repayment schedule or issue the refund to your original Klarna method.

5) Apple Pay & Google Pay

  • Wallet payments require device-level authentication (e.g., Face ID/Touch ID/Passcode).

  • The underlying card is processed by Stripe; refunds return to that underlying card through the wallet.

  • Ensure wallet billing/shipping details are accurate to prevent delays.

6) Prices, Currency, Taxes & Fees

  • All prices are shown and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise at checkout.

  • Sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and shown at checkout.

  • Your bank may apply FX conversion and bank fees if your card uses another currency.

7) Fraud Screening, Verification & Cancellations

  • Orders may undergo automated and manual fraud review. We may request additional verification.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order (e.g., suspected fraud, pricing/stock errors, policy violations).

  • Any captured funds for canceled orders will be released or refunded to the original payment method.

8) Refunds & Posting Times

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Typical posting windows: cards and wallets 5–10 business days after we process the refund; Klarna schedules are adjusted by Klarna.

  • Shipping, handling, and certain fees may be non-refundable, except where required by law. See our Returns/Refunds Policy for conditions.

9) Billing Details & Declines

  • Provide accurate billing and contact information. Inaccurate or mismatched details can cause declines, delays, or cancellation.

  • If a payment is declined, use an alternate method or update details at checkout. Orders can’t ship without valid payment.

10) Disputes & Chargebacks

  • For order issues, contact Dermstation first so we can resolve quickly.

  • Chargebacks filed before contacting us can extend resolution time. We may limit or close accounts linked to abusive or excessive disputes.

11) Errors & Corrections

  • If a pricing, promotion, or availability error occurs, we may cancel the order or request confirmation to proceed.

  • If canceled, any captured funds will be released or refunded.

12) Security & Privacy

  • We use HTTPS and Stripe tokenization to protect payment data.

  • Payment information is handled under our Privacy Policy and the policies of Stripe, Klarna, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

13) Policy Updates

  • We may update this Policy periodically. Changes apply to orders placed after the new effective date posted here.
